Occitanie Angels, the federation of Business Angels networks in Occitanie, announces a new joint investment by its founding members MELIES Business Angels and Capitole Angels in EPUR, an Aude company that designs an innovative robot for building professionals, in association with 2 others Business Angels networks: BADGE (Business Angels des Grandes Ecoles) and AMBA (Arts & Métiers Business Angels).

Created in 2016 in the Upper Aude Valley by 2 carpenters, EPUR manufactures and markets an automated machining machine for traditional wood frame manufacturing trades: the first digital and portable milling machine on the "OAKBOT" market. address to the entire industry, from craftsmen to large companies. "This fundraising will allow us to launch the production of the second series of robots, to support its marketing in France and internationally and to develop R&D to quickly offer a range of products covering the diversity of our customers' needs. . We therefore foresee a rapid development of the company with strong growth ”, underline the 2 founders Ilias Zinsstag, President and Pierre Giusti, Managing Director and designer of OAKBOT. EPUR is also showing its willingness to contribute to the revitalization of a rural territory and to participate in the regional dynamic of an innovation sector in the field of digital machines.

Joint investment of 4 Business Angels networks
The selection and study of the file were initially carried out by MELIES Business Angels, in Montpellier, whose members bring 84K € to the start-up. “The personality, professionalism and strong experience of the founders won over MBA investors; their project also participates in the digitization of building trades that have not been very well penetrated until now, and creates jobs in a remote area of ​​the region ”, specifies Philippe Cattin-Vidal, project instructor for MBA.
