Epur launches the marketing of Oakbot

Oakbot, the portable numerically controlled framework robot created by the Audoise strat-up Epur.

The company Epur designs, manufactures and markets Oakbot, a portable numerically-controlled robot for carpentry. “Thanks to this tool, we move the machines and not the pieces of wood. Oakbot increases the productivity of the carpenter and improves working comfort, explains Ilias Zinsstag, president (head office in Rodome, 7 employees). We estimate the return on investment of this tool at 24 months. "

Epur has just received aid from the Region (€ 50,000) as part of the Start'Oc system in order to accelerate the commercial launch of Oakbot. “We are going to produce ten copies to launch a pre-series in beta test. Our first clients are based in Normandy, in the Jura and in the Landes ”, announces the manager, who is aiming for a turnover of 500 k € by 2020.

The start-up hopes to soon raise its first fundraising of 500 k € from business angels (Melies, Arts et Métiers Business Angels, Capitol Angels). It plans to recruit in 2019 a sales representative and an IT developer to support its development.
