Epur improves the productivity of building tradesmen with the OAKBOT: the world's 1st hand-held CNC milling machine for traditional carpentry and timber construction.
The idea of Epur was born on construction sites, to face a constraint: how to reproduce perfectly identical pieces of wood in series, while gaining in productivity, precision and safety?
This is how two carpenters Pierre Giusti and Ilias Zinsstag created the start'up Epur based in isolated territory in the Audoise Pyrenees, in order to give shape to their idea.
After three years of R&D and a patent filing later, a first pre-series of ten copies was marketed at the end of 2018 and 2019 by the company, which now has seven employees.
This tool, intended for woodworking, is Innovative, Precise and Reliable. Its particularity is to combine digital and mobility thanks to its associated trolley.
The craftsman works in complete safety because the OAKBOT works alone. Its high productivity puts added value back into the hands of craftsmen and replaces the size of the frame within the activity of companies.
The OAKBOT makes it possible to produce directly on the site or in the workshop, a large set of assembly geometries (tenons, mortises, dovetails, etc.), thanks to a portable device, which can reproduce identical machining operations, in all situations and at low cost.

The remote control (HMI) has been designed very intuitive, within the reach of anyone who knows how to use a smartphone. Getting started is therefore quick without specific training.
In 2020, Epur will be present at the biggest national and international trade fairs (DACH-HOLZ-Stutgartt (Germany); EUROBOIS-Lyon; FORUM BOIS CONSTRUCTION Paris; NORDBAT - Lille ...).

The company is resolutely turned towards innovation and has already obtained numerous awards in construction innovation and has recently been chosen to present the OAKBOT at the “Made in France” exhibition at the p1000lysée.
